Venue. REM 5 will be held at the Royal Kona Resort, which is located at 75-5852 Alii Drive in Kailua-Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii. The Big Island of Hawai'i, simply called the "Big Island" by locals, is almost twice the size of all the other Hawaiian Islands combined. In fact, so large is the island that it includes all but two of the entire world's climactic zones, making it unrivaled in the breadth of activities it offers. Despite the incredible diversity to be found throughout the island, many agree that the historic seaside town of Kailua-Kona, the setting for the Royal Kona Resort, is the island’s most sought-after location. The Royal Kona Resort is easily accessible from the Kona International Airport by rental car, taxi, or shuttle.
